Hot! CD 'Lassie Will Ye Go'

'Lassie Will Ye Go'  our first 16 track Album containing a rich mix of Scottish Songs,(also in gaelic) and tunes plus a few Original Elsa Jean McTaggart compositions. It was also Gary's first visit to a professional Studio...which rattled his nerves a little! 
It was great to finally get back to our Scottish roots and build a new show incorporating the piano accordian and button box as well as our usual instruments guitar, piano, violin and Penny Whistle. We spent 3 months touring with the show in the highlands and Islands of Scotland before heading to the studio in Dundee and pretty much recording the live tracks... and then having some fun adding a little extra in the way of backing vocals and bass to some ... 

It was recorded at Red Barn Studios in the late summer of 2016 and was launched at the Edinburgh Fringe with great success. Please Buy and enjoy!

I play it loudly in the living room on my brother's birrowed, for now, stereo system when my husband is away out fir a long bike run and I am designing and sewing quilts in my conservatory or doing what I should be doing - the housework! "By chance I bought a ticket to see Elsa Jean at the 2018 Fringe and after that show I immediately bought tix to her other shows as well. The shows were so fabulous that I had to take a piece of that gorgeous music home with me and am very glad that I did. The songs range from soulful ballads like The House of MacDonald to tunes like The Phantom Fiddler that call your body to dance. Coming Home so eloquently expressed my own feelings about moving back to a town that I had left 37 years ago. The choice of songs is exquisite, and the musicianship is superb.
